Why MailSetu?
In 2023, our founders were building a SaaS product when they hit a familiar problem: the most popular transactional email providers charge in USD, bill via cards with FX markup, provide support only in US hours, and generate invoices that don't comply with Indian GST law.
Resend charges $20/month. At ₹83/$ that's ₹1,660 — for a quota that MailSetu's Starter plan covers at ₹499. That's a 3× markup just from currency conversion alone.
We built MailSetu to be the email infrastructure that every Indian startup should have had from day one. Same reliability, same modern DX, at a price that makes sense in rupees.
